Fat Women’s Fashion (christmas) Overweight Fat Girls Fashion Faults & Tips 4 Short Plump Women - 30 Apr 2017 10:43

[
]Fashion for Fat PeopleThis Christmas - What is it about Christmas that has women automatically think about the way they look or worry over their weight? Has it anything to do with festive season adverts like "Big" Turkey, "Plump" Goose, "Fleshy" Duck or "Fat" juicy Chicken. I know, not nice words to hear for them who are overweight but they sell poultry and you have to accept this, unless this Christmas you choose to pass by the freezer section in your supermarket.

You could however do something about your weight if this is the problem. Getting in shape and losing weight will have you see the meaning of - Big - Plump - Fleshy and Fat in a different light, and more in the way of "I'm tasty please eat me".

Have you been thinking about dieting to lose weight before Christmas, or just generally considering joining a weight loss program in spite of the season, if so, there's no better time to start shedding those pounds now.

It's not nice being fat and frumpy, and for some it's majorly upsetting - having to put up with people who don't understand how you feel and call you nasty names like fatty, blubber butt and their goes Bessie Bunter. Another reason is not being able to wear the latest fashion and look good. If your obesity is not caused by illness then let's look at some sensible ideas in regards to fashion sense so "YOU" will look good in the latest trends in designer clothes.

Christmas Fashion for Fat People

If you believe you won't reach your desired size by Christmas through dieting then work with your plump or stout body. Have you ever heard of the saying "pleasantly plump" so why not that be you this year.

Black is a magical colour

Just because black may not be the in colour doesn't mean sway from the idea of wearing it. Let's say the new trendy colour that's in fashion is orange then you work with that colour to get the latest stylish look. Adding accessories to compliment an outfit in this shade then voila, you're in fashion. Shoes, costume jewellery, scarves, shawls, chokers, gloves, hat or other hair accessories like combs, hair slides, bobbles and scrunches are all fabulous ideas for a fat woman to wear in the shade of orange to bring her black outfit (Trousers, blouse, dress, suit, evening gown) more up to date.

Every fat woman is curvy. Curves become more noticeable wearing the wrong clothes. Work with your curves, and not against them as this will make it difficult to get your desired look.

The vast majority of overweight women assume they can never be fashionable due fatness. How far from the truth this is. Any fat, plump, stout, portly, podgy or tubby woman/young girl can be fashionable-it's a matter of knowing what chic clothes to wear to slim your appearance, instead of garments that does nothing for your shape and shows every ripple of belly flab around your waist and bum. .

Sadly, not many fat women understand this concept and tend to wear skimpy clothes which make them look hideous. If I'm to be honest dressing this way can make a fat woman look ugly, and I mean this in the nicest possible way. Fat capri leggings women are beautiful; some obese women have real pretty faces, better than a lot of skinny girls out there. Nevertheless to be body beautiful you have to dress right to achieve this.

Christmas Fashion for Fat People

The way to avoid being ridiculed for poor fashion sense is by dressing in clothes that suit your shape and size. For instance: Wear a dress/frock that sits below the knee or just above the ankle. Don't wear garments that cut off at the widest part of the calf. It will make you look stumpy.

High-waist tops are always in style as with the same with leggings. If you're wearing a dress/ skirt and think it too short and showing too much leg, then wear leggings underneath. Mid-calf leggings are attractive for summer wear; nonetheless big women may want to try this if they are not comfortable with the length of their dress. A black and white print dress, some black leggings with a pair of strappy sandals is a good dressy look. A chunky red or silver bangle will add the finishing touches to the outfit. A big mistake fat women make is trying to look smaller, which is right and expected from them who worry over their shape and size, however it's best to work with your already size because, it's less time consuming, less expensive and will still have you looking trendy and fabulous.

Undergarments are important for giving good shape, a well-fitted bra will help you feel and look your best. When you have the feel good factor you will always carry off whatever garment it is you're wearing.

If possible don't wear flowing capricious fabrics. Various colors, materials, layers and patterns can make you look heavier and stocky. Colors most fitting are dark grey, deep silver, wine, plum, jade, russet, midnight blue, cocoa and cranberry.

Lengthy straight skirts/dresses elongate the body which in return will have you appear slimmer

Tight is not right. Tight garments shows every bulge even the ones you didn't know were there. Material sort to wear should be one that skims the contour of your body and not clingy.

Horizontal stripes are out and vertical in for short stout stumpy women.

Dresses or tops with empire waist for the longer look.

Keep shoe color the same as your stylish trendy outfit

Stilettos lengthen the look of legs.

Low necked dresses and long jewelry chains/necklaces help lengthen the look of the neck

Avoid chokers or pole polo neck sweaters this will give you the hunched up look

Christmas Fashion for Fat People

Fat girls need to remember they don't need to create fashion to look great and trendy; its attitude that does this. Stay confident and positive about yourself and you will achieve or see your desired look, clothed or naked. Most common mistakes fat women make usually includes wearing jackets and belts in the wrong scope. Blouses and dressy tops of various color with big banded wide patent belts cut the body in two parts and therefore attract attention.

Elongate legs by wearing straight pants that cover your shoes.

Don't clutter the waist with fabric.

Monochromatic garments are ideal for the pleasantly plump woman

Warning oversize t-shirts and baggy tops don't hide flab instead they make the body look more shapeless. Baggy doesn't hide saggy

Avoid thick heavy cloth as it adds extra weight to your figure.

Matching stilettos with long straight pants partly covering the shoe is the solution to looking taller and slimmer in any situation

Voluminous tops like loose fitting camisoles, peasant tops, tunics and smock tops goes nice with pants or leggings.

No matter what size you are, and want to look slim, then style, color and design of your clothes is important

Choose good quality fabric that hangs elegantly rather than cling.

Wear V neck, deep round neck and square neck before turtle neck.

Ideal length for short plump ladies to get a slim look is above or just on the knees, while tall women should wear longer hemlines.

Tapered trousers are chic but can make the hips look big and legs short and stumpy. Wear boot cut style trousers to render leg length.

High heels make feet, ankles look thinner.

Don't wear smaller size garments

Wide legged jeans or pants are a good choice for the long slim look. Wear with boots, open sandals or pointed heels (winkle pickers).

Don't wear large robe like dresses, they didn't work for Mama Cass or Demis Roussos and won't work for you.

By: kacycarr

Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.com

Want 2 Lose Weight By Christmas And Not Sure How Much

What are Jeggings? - 26 Apr 2017 04:34

Tags:

[
]Touted as the biggest fashion creation of the 21st century, jeggings are a hot favorite of celebrities and commoners, alike. They are all over the place! Pick up any celebrity magazine and you are sure to spot some of your favorite stars revealing their sexy selves in this latest fashion trendsetter.

As the name suggests, jeggings are a combination of leggings and jeans. They are made from the same material as leggings, but are fashioned to look like denim jeans. So, by wearing them, you get the comfort of leggings without compromising on your overall appearance. They look as stylish as denim jeans.

Women who are on the curvy side usually avoid wearing hip-hugging pants, as they can make them look curvier. But now, they no longer have to kill their desire to wear such pants, as this piece of attire fits snugly, making the curviest of women look hot and happening.

Before moving on to tell you about the various looks that you can create with jeggings, I want to point out one drawback of wearing jeggings. Although it is comfortable to wear, it can make you feel quite warm in the summer, as the material it is made of has more lycra and spandex, than regular jeans. So, avoid wearing them when capri leggings the weather is very warm.

What to Wear with Jeggings

If you have decided to add this unique piece of clothing to your wardrobe, my advice to you is not to go for designer labels initially. You never know whether this fashion trend will last long or not. So stick to buying one from a thrift store and in neutral colors such as black, blue, or brown. There are different kind of looks that you can create with a pair of jeggings, by teaming it with different types of tops, bags, footwear, and fashion accessories.

The Cool Look

If you want to sport a cool, casual look, wear it with a loose, long top. Wear a beaded necklace, flat sandals, and carry a large cloth bag. You can wear this look while going to college or on your next trip to the market.

The Hot Look

If you are blessed with a good figure, wear your jeggings with high-heeled stilettos, a leather purse and a short, sleeveless top tucked in. If you are on the heavier side, wear an empire-waistline top that will create an illusion of a thin waist.

The Trendy Look

If you want to go by summer fashion trends, pair your jeggings with knee-high boots. Wear a long body-hugging T-shirt that falls midway past your thighs. On top of this T-shirt, wear a short, full-sleeved, loose top. This layered look along with the knee-high boots will definitely make many heads turn in your direction.

The Sporty Look

For those of you who want a casual, sporty look, pairing jeggings with sneakers and a loose, long capri leggings T-shirt or a cute sweatshirt, is a good idea. Of course, you can always enhance this look by wearing trendy sneakers in unique colors and T-shirts with unusual quotes.[
] - Comments: 0

Fashion / Style :: Fall in Love with Leggings: Why You Need This Leg Wear Necessity - 26 Apr 2017 03:45

Tags:

[
]Love them or hate them leggings are a big part of fashion this season. If you've never worn them, you may not know what your missing. Leggings offer a comfortable alternative to pantyhose or even pants and can be great paired with a short skirt when it's cold or you're not a fan of showing to much skin. For those of you who have never experimented with leggings, the idea of owning a pair may seem a little ridiculous.

Many women, including myself at one point, take a look at this comfy fashion statement and swear they will never join the masses. If you fall into this category your not giving this seasons fabulous fashion necessity the respect it deserves. Next time you're strolling around your favorite store, I urge you to grab a pair and check into the nearest dressing room. I promise, for most of you, it will be love at first sight.

Why They Work

Leggings offer you what tights try to and what panty hose never could. Coverage. Leggins are a great way to wear your favorite short skirts, dresses, or over sized baby doll tee's without showing to much skin. If you're not a fan of your legs in a mini skirt then leggings may be the accessory for you. The right pair can work to smooth out or hide bumps and dimples that otherwise would keep you locked in your bedroom. Leggings are also a great way to keep your favorite skirts in your closet year round. While you may feel that once the weather starts to decline it's time to put away your favorite above the knee skirts, leggings will have you making extra room in your closet to accommodate some of your summer wardrobe. Leggings offer a alternative to pants and stockings which ultimately expands your fashion options. You will be able to pair dresses, longs sweaters, long shirts, etc with leggings which immediately gives you a larger wardrobe. What You Need to Know If your super curvy and want to wear leggings, you will want to stick to dark colors, particularly black. It's also a good idea to pair them with heels instead of flats. Girls with larger legs who wear leggings may find that flats paired with leggings will make their legs appear shorter and wider Unless you're super slim and ultra fashionable, stay away from bright obnoxiously colored leggings or leggings with patterns. While leggings printed leggings in general can help your legs look smoother and more attractive, the wrong pair (i.e. the pairs explained above) will have you looking less spectacular and more ridiculous.Leggings and shorts are a "no no." Sure, almost anything can look good on certain people with certain body types in a particular kind of lighting, but any fashion statement that depends on so many variables to depend on should only be seen on the runway or in fashion magazines. Keep your shorts for the summer and leave your leggings for dresses and skirts. It's extremely hard to find one fashion statement that looks great on everyone. If you're trying on your leggings and you are uncomfortable, chances are that style is just not meant for you. Don't worry; there is a style out there for everyone so keep looking. Remember, confidence is the key to style so never wear something you're not comfortable in. If you're still not sure, bring a good friend and you can help each other decide on the perfect outfits.

Real Men Wear Tights - CBS News - 26 Apr 2017 02:00

Tags:

[
]It might be a hard sell to Average Joe, but tough guys do wear tights. Think of Renaissance warriors. Think of Errol Flynn, Superman and Kobe Bryant.

They've all worn tights and lived to tell about it. The tights actually have shown off their nicely toned muscles.

Maybe Average Joe is worried his legs are a little limp.

2But Brandon Routh - the new Superman - has got nothing to worry about.

"He looked good in tights," gushes Louise Mingenbach, costume designer for "Superman Returns," which opened in theaters Wednesday. "A lot of effort went leggings for women into those tights."

There were nearly 75 fittings for his high-tech, ultra-thin costume, as Mingenbach and her team literally tried to iron out any wrinkles in the fabric. The result was somewhat sheer, seamless tights that Mingenbach compares to women's pantyhose. "If you hold them up to the light, you'll see through them," she says with a laugh.

They're actually made of a fabric called Milliskin, a Spandex blend.

To Mingenbach's surprise, Routh wasn't embarrassed by the process of costumers going over every inch of his body, or by the fact that in today's society it's usually women who wear tights.

"Men are not used to showing off their legs, but he was strangely unselfconscious about it. Maybe because it was Superman, so he knew what he was going into. He probably knew he couldn't just wear the cape," she says.

3Mingenbach, however, doesn't put every Tom, Dick or Wolverine in tights. She also was the costume designer on the first two "X-Men" films, for which there was a conscious decision not to put the characters in Spandex.

"X-Men wore tights in the comics but they're not the Man of Steel. (Director) Bryan (Singer, who also directed "Superman Returns") felt their costume should be in protective gear. They needed to be protected, Superman doesn't. That's why Superman can wear tights."

But Routh isn't the only guy in tights this year. NBA stars, such as Bryant and Vince Carter, are wearing them on the court and even far-less athletic-looking Jack Black is wearing them on screen in "Nacho Libre."

OK, so it'd be a stretch to call tights a fashion trend in menswear, but style watchers already know that leggings and opaque tights will be an important look this fall in ladies' fashion.

Maybe it's a sign of things to come?

Graciela Mazon, the "Nacho Libre" costume designer who put Black in a wrestling outfit of sky-blue tights, a crimson cape and boots, thinks men look regal in tights.

"Tights really frame men. I think you can capture the virility. Men have worn tights forever; think of the 16th century. They were strong men and no one questioned that," Mazon says.

The tights helped Black's "Nacho" character, even without a perfect body, show both strength and emotion. "You could see his muscles, but he didn't look aggressive," Mazon describes.

She says a man's legs in tights are "a sculpture of movement." Also, she adds, at least in the case of a wrestler, tights are practical since they offer much freer movement than traditional athletic wear.

NBA players seem to like tights for other reasons as well. Superstar LeBron James told the AP last winter that he wore tights under his Cleveland Cavaliers shorts to help prevent injuries.

Milwaukee Bucks forward Joe Smith said he was just trying to keep his knees warm after having knee surgery.

James, however, did indicate he thought some of his peers just liked the look and were trying to make a fashion statement. (The NBA is rumored to be banning tights on the court next season.)

Don't look for Black to take his "Nacho" look to the Hollywood streets, though he did find it to have more appeal than he thought. "I wouldn't wear it to the laundromat or to the grocery store," he said. "But it does have a certain amount of power when you dress up like that. It really grabs the attention of all the people around you."

[

William R. Godkin: Lakota women. - 26 Apr 2017 01:51

Tags:

[
]The images in this edition of Glimpses were taken by William R.

Godkin, apparently while visiting Pine Ridge Agency in the late 1870s or

early 1880s. To date, I have not found out much more about him, but his

photographs are of historical value. While he photographed a number of

prominent Lakota men including Red Cloud, Red Shirt, Little Big Man and

others, he also photographed a number of Lakota women. These images

offer a great glimpse at some great young Lakota women and their

fashions at the time of earliest confinement on the reservations.

Photo right is captioned Little Big Man's wife on the print.

Mrs. Little Big Man wears a classic Lakota hide dress with a fully

beaded cape, long double shell earrings and choker, and multiple strands

of smaller white beads. An early phase Navajo blanket is around her

waist. Her moccasins and leggings provide an excellent illustration of

how they were worn, with the large vertical panel in front. Note that

the perimeter lane of beadwork on the moccasins begins only at the base

of the large toe, which is a trait often associated only with Cheyenne

or Arapaho moccasins, but was also used by Lakota women. The same dress

and belt, and likely earrings and bead necklace, are worn by a woman in

another photo in the series, identified as Fighting Cloud Shield's

wife.

The conchos are likely

commercially manufactured ones, with abruptly rolled over edges. This is

patterned shawl. Her dress is rather plain, probably cotton or perhaps

wool, but with a contrasting stripe of fabric around each shoulder. She

too wears double shell earrings with both abalone and leggins crescent (perhaps

woman's hairpipe breastplate with vertically-strung pipes that

would become so popular later in the century.

Everyone should live by that. It's ironic: The thrill in finding something cheap is that it feels like a deal that no one else is getting. But there's a reason no one else bought it-that's why it's still sitting there.

Buchman: Absolutely. Sometimes moms are so right. If you don't want it, you don't want it-period. It will just take up time and space.

Nanette Lepore, designer: Actually, a sale is a perfect time to try out a new trend.

Mom Says…

"When you don't have time for a shower, pearls and ponytails are the next best thing."

Boston: Yes to the ponytail, even make it a chignon. But scratch the pearls and instead spray a little Febreeze on your outfit. Coming across as fresh is important.

Bennett: I live in a ponytail. But as for the pearls, they can make you look like a politician's wife if you're not careful. I like putting on a really long strand that makes a statement.

Mills: Pearls, a ponytail…and hot printed leggings pink underwear. Never underestimate the power of a fabulous set of Skivvies.

"Buy quality, not quantity."

Boston: Good one, Mom! The woman who has one beautiful, quality tailored black suit can wear it a million times and still look better than the woman who has 17 different pastel suits with threads hanging out of the sleeves.

Mills: I prefer to see my closet as a well-mixed drink: two parts quality to one part quantity. I have $325 wedges sitting alongside $19 faux-lizard heels.

Lyons: Definitely. There's a reason why most of your favorite things are probably the ones that you splurged on. You can go back to them time and time again, and they'll still look great.

"Wearing all black should be reserved for funerals."

Boston: If that were the case, then the most stylish women in Manhattan would be one long funeral procession. Head-to-toe black is universally accepted as chic.

Bennett: Unless you're wearing a big hat with a net on it, all black isn't going to make you look like you're going to a funeral. It's a flattering uniform that can be worn every day.

Lyons: That is so dated. These days, even bridesmaids wear all black. Just remember that when you're wearing all black, you're creating a silhouette, so choose the shapes of your tops and bottoms carefully.

"If you can't breathe in it, you probably shouldn't leave in it."

London: Women have a tendency to squeeze into things and say, "If I buy this, there will be motivation for me to lose weight." Then, when that doesn't happen, the skirt hangs in the closet as a shameful reminder. Tugging at your clothes is never a good look.

Bennett: Good advice. Sometimes going up a size actually makes the fabric drape better. When something is pulling across the butt — trust me — that's what everyone notices.

Mills: Too tight is never right. Don't leave in it unless you can dance in it!

"Always wear a good bra — it will make any outfit look better."

London: Keep the girls up and high! Take care of them and they'll take care of you.

Boston: Mom is 100 percent right. And you shouldn't be wearing the same bra in your 40s that you wore in your 20s. There is technology nowadays that can make women look trimmer, slimmer, and shapelier in an instant.

Lepore: Believe in that. You don't want your bosom hanging low. Different women have different needs — but no matter what, if you have a bra you love, you'll feel and look better.

"Always wear a slip."

Boston: Absolutely not. A little mystery around the silhouette of a leg is not a bad thing. It's not like people don't know you have legs.

Buchman: Never wear a slip, unless you're 120 years old. And not even then. It adds bulk, it adds folds, and it looks tacky if it shows. Put that in the bank.

Lyons: Who wears a slip in this day and age? But women should take a good look at their undergarments and observe what they are doing to their backsides.

"Brown shoes? Wear a brown belt. Black shoes? Wear a black belt."

London: It may be kind of an antiquated rule, but it works. When it comes to shoes and belts, if you mix black and brown, it looks like you woke up and your lightbulb wasn't working.

Lyons: That is boring, boring, boring. Make your belt mean something to your outfit. It's not there just to hold your pants up. If you're wearing black shoes, put on a polka-dot or striped belt — something with a little personality.

Boston: From a matching standpoint, it will never fail you. But it's better to mix up shades and finishes within the same color family, like cognac-colored heels in a faux-crocodile print with a cappuccino-colored ribbon belt.

"If you smile and make eye contact, no one will care — or even notice — what you are wearing."

Boston: No matter how big your smile and strong your eye contact, if you're wearing a bad blouse and a pair of pants that should have been donated to charity years ago, it's going to show.

Lyons: This is the most important rule. It is so much harder to be critical of what someone is wearing when she is lovely, connected, and interesting.

Lepore: That's easier said than done. Not everyone has this kind of confidence or personality, so don't dress like a clown.

"People can tell a lot about you by the shoes you're wearing."

Boston: Oh, yeah. Scuffed shoes, shoes with chewed-up heels, shoes that have never seen a shoe tree: They all say that you don't care as much as you should about life's overall details.

London: True. Shoes are a symbolic accessory — much more so than jewelry or sunglasses.

Mills: Actually, people can tell more about you when they see how you treat a waitress.

"Always check your backside in the mirror before you head out."

Bennett: That's a good one. After all, your rear view is 50 percent of what people see. That's a large percentage!

Lyons: Absolutely. I wish more people did that. Women, check your panty lines.

Lloyd: Smart. Yes, I completely agree that it is wise to check what's going on back there. Everything that you care about showing or not showing from the front deserves the same amount of attention from the back.

"It's better to be overdressed than underdressed."

Bennett: No one has ever been asked to leave a party because of being overdressed. Everyone appreciates glamour.

Boston: I agree wholeheartedly. When you walk in underdressed, you have no wiggle room to change it. It's always easier to peel down if you are overdressed.

Buchman: It's better to look good than not. Dressing up or down is not the issue. When you're not sure how dressy an event is going to be, just wear the outfit you think you look best in.

"Don't mix high-end and low-end pieces."

Boston: Wrong. A serious $1,500 suit with a bright $5 tank top underneath it can look better than any other outfit in the room.

Lyons: I'm not a fan of this principle. Personal style could mean pairing sneakers with a ball gown. If that's what makes you different — fine.

Mills: Ha! The more often you mix it up, the better. It's called style.[
] - Comments: 0

Is someone you know been married almost 30 years?.. and now you need a 30 year anniversary gift idea?

So what do you get someone for 30 years of marriage? Below are a few quick tips to help you decide.

Trip

If there are other family members also trying to figure out what to get for 30 year anniversary gifts, then why not get together, and rather than buying them a lot of individual gifts, that they may not need, why not pool your money and get them a weekend away, such as an Inn or something they can drive to, and not have to take time off of work if they don't want to. This would make a great gift for the couple who has everything, and a great way to celebrate a 30 year anniversary.

Event Tickets

If the lucky couple love sports, get them tickets to the game, or if they love the theatre, and have been meaning to go, get them tickets. You can pool your money for something like this also. 30 year anniversary gift ideas, may just need a bit of thought. But most people who have been married https://diypuzzles.wordpress.com/category/mechanical-puzzles/wooden-puzzles/page/4/ that long, probably don't need new dishes or sheets! But getting them event tickets will make for a memorable time. They will love this 30 year anniversary gift idea.

Party

If they have told everyone they don't want gifts, then give them a party! Get a few friends and relatives together, and have a great barbeque, and you also do the clean up. If it is nice weather you can rent picnic areas at your local parks, for a large barbeque. If not, maybe look into renting a small hall or room, for a party. They are the honored guests and they don't have to clean up.

Make sure you put disposable cameras at the tables or around the room, and have all the guests take pictures of the evening or afternoon, and then make the pictures into an album.

DVD

Create a video for them of the party. Make sure to go around and talk to all the guests, this is a great 30 year anniversary gift idea. This was done for us, and I treasure it. All the friends and family on one DVD it is priceless.

Frames

You can get beautiful pearl like frames, for some of these party pictures. Since pearl is the stone for 30th wedding anniversaries.

Frame an Old Wedding Photo

Get a wedding photograph from the wedding album, which may be put away somewhere, and frame one of the pictures in a beautiful frame. This gets it out of the dusty closet and out in view. It is not something they may have thought to do, so if you can get a hold of an old wedding photo this is a also a great 30 year anniversary gift idea.

Family Picture

If the couple have children whether grown or small, get them all together for a professional photographer to take a good picture and have it framed.

Honeymoon Trip

If it can be afforded, send the personalised wooden gifts couple back to the same place they went on their honeymoon. This would make a great 30 year anniversary gift. If they never got around to a honeymoon, then send them on one now.

30 Years is quite the accomplishment. It should be celebrated by all.

If money is tight and you want to acknowledge a 30 year anniversary, then get creative. You could create a scrapbook for them, create a video of the party celebrations, or offer to do some chore for them. There are many ways to celebrate 30 years of marriage.[
] - Comments: 0

Man Gives Wife Anniversary Present of One Dollar for Every Day of 49 Years of Marriage - 12 Apr 2017 10:29

[
]On the day of her 49th wedding anniversary, Jeanette Schumacher was instructed by her husband Arthur to sit in the living room of their home in Raleigh, N.C., with her eyes closed. By the time she opened her eyes, she was surrounded by over 150 bundles of $1 bills, towering on her lap and by her feet.

Arthur Schumacher told his wife the stacks totaled $17,885, amounting to one dollar for each day the couple has been married.

"I forgot leap year so I guess I owe you," Arthur told his wife.

Getting the gift was no easy feat. Arthur Schumacher spent most of the day, April 7, filling a Coleman cooler and a large cardboard box with bundles of $1 personalised wooden gifts bills, emptying three banks for their supply of singles, including traveling 40 miles to a bank in Wilson, N.C., and dodging his wife's inquiries about his whereabouts.

"I'm not supposed to be driving right now, so my daughter was driving me and my wife was asking me 'what are you doing?' And I just said, don't worry I'll be back," he told ABC News.

Their love story dates back five decades to December 1958 when somebody gave Arthur Schumacher a girl named Jeanette's number to call. The blind date ended up being a success. "The first time I saw her, I thought she was beautiful, I thought she was great," he recalls.

The romance continued even after he joined the Army and left to go overseas. Four years later, 19-year-old Jeanette sent her boyfriend an airplane ticket to come back from Germany to see her http://www.woodenpuzzles.cc/ during his 30-day leave. Within a month, both their lives had changed forever.

"Before the 30 days were up, I said let's get married," Arthur Schumacher told ABC News.

Jeanette wore her sister's wedding dress. To celebrate, Arthur bought a 1953 Chevrolet and took them to honeymoon in Montana. After completing the six months of service he had left in the Army, the newlyweds settled in Aberdeen, S.D., where they led a rambunctious lifestyle.

"You name it, we did it. We raced around different race tracks in South Dakota. We did a lot of crazy things, we partied a lot and raised a lot of heck," Arthur Schumacher said.

A few years later the couple began to run Walmarts nationwide. The Schumachers raised three children while moving through three different states. They now have three grandchildren.

In 2005, Arthur Schumacher was diagnosed with salivary gland cancer and had to go through several chemotherapy and radiation treatments, as well as have five surgeries on his face. The doctors gave him two years to live, but he has pushed on to nearly six with Jeanette's help.

"She's a real encouragement to me in making sure I do what the doctors say I should," he said. "Everytime I see the doctor he says 'you amaze me.'"

With the money now back in the bank, Arthur Schumacher looks forward to seeing how his wife will choose to spend the gift.

"Maybe we'll take a cruise," he said.

Sounds like a perfect 50th anniversary celebration.[
] - Comments: 0
